THE MEDIA FREE-FOR-ALL is rolling on around His Royal Nipness today, with much of the attention focusing on The Sun’s decision to publish the pictures of Harry getting out his Little Prince.
The newspaper became the first UK publication to defy legal threats from the royal family, calling the pictures “a crucial test of Britain’s free Press” and declaring that readers “have a right to see them”.
But enough about that. Let’s look at the weirdest directions the story has taken today:
1. Naked Harry was a real old-fashioned gent
We’re going to assume you’ve all seen the pictures now. So, that action shot of him bending over the girl with his foot in the air? It was just him being a great, great guy. From The Sun again, which spoke to “another girl partygoer” who said:
He hugged her to cover her up. He went over to be the gentleman and said, ‘I’ll shield you. I’ll protect you. I won’t let them see you’… There were no complaints from her.
So there you go.
2. Ryan Lochte is somehow involved as usual
Harry famously met the Lochtenator at a nightclub pool party, before heading off to the other kind of pool party. But Lochte’s Olympic gold medal wasn’t enough to secure him an invitation to the hotel room with all the best balls.
However, the swimmer has insisted he was “kinda happy” he wasn’t tipped the nod, according to Gawker. “I don’t need that,” he said.
3. Male strippers have invited Harry to join them
Clothes-doffers extraordinaire the Chippendales were so impressed with Harry’s style, they’ve offered him a job. They “are reaching out to the royalty to gauge his interest”, a representative of the Vegas-based troupe told TMZ.
We figured that since he seems to enjoy taking his clothes off in Las Vegas, why not do it on stage at the #1 Male Revue in the World?
