HAVE YOU BEEN watching TV3′s Red Rock?
The soap, which centres on two feuding families in the fictional Dublin suburb of Red Rock, premiered to good reviews in January and has since built a cadre of loyal fans.
Tonight, it finished up for the summer – TV3 had been building up to a shocking season finale, releasing this promo video featuring Irish TV personalities (and Sean Bean) having a gawk at the final scene:
Something would want to be fairly shocking to make lovely Ian Dempsey say “Oh sh**, here we go”, right?
And TV3 didn’t disappoint. Here be spoilers, so don’t read on unless you’re up to date.
Some context: Gardaí Adrijan Kosos (Boyko Krastanov) and Sean Holden (David Crowley) have had an enjoyable bromance throughout the season, but fell out in recent episodes.
You see, Adrijan fancies fellow Garda Nikki Grogan, and confided in Sean – who subsequently went and romanced Nikki behind Adrijan’s back. Not so great for their friendship, as you may well have guessed.
The two are on the verge of patching things up when Sean asks Adrijan to pull over a driver who he says ran a red light. The driver refuses to get out of his car, and that’s when this happens:
