SHAWN MENDES WAS on The Late Late Show with James Corden this week. Well, he does have an album to promote after all.
Flat out, so he is. Anyway, as does tend to happen on The Late Late Show, Mendes did a bit of singing in James’ car, in a segment now known around the world as Carpool Karaoke.

As well as singing a few songs, the 19-year-old basically admitted to living his most affluent life ATM. He’s just moved out of his parents’ gaff, his mam still comes over to clean and he’s in a position to fork out up to $500 for Justin Bieber’s underwear. Seriously.
“I’d buy them,” Mendes, a known fan of his fellow Canadian heartthrob, admitted matter-of-factly.
I’d probably cap it at, like, $500. Which is still a lot of money.”
Corden then inquired: “How much would you pay for a pair of my underpants?”
“I wouldn’t,” Mendes said. “I’d pay not to have a pair of your underpants. I would pay for them to be as far away from me as possible.”
A reasonable response.
