LAST NIGHT, SIA released the video for her latest single Elastic Heart.
The follow-up to last year’s smash Chandelier features actor Shia LaBeouf in a cage with dancer Maddie Ziegler, better known as the star of the aforementioned video for Chandelier.
Both performers wear nude suits and perform an interpretive dance duet.
Sia has stated that the song is about her turbulent relationship with her father and his struggles with mental illness.
However, several people didn’t see it that way and immediately decried it as inappropriate for featuring an adult man dancing with a twelve-year-old child.

However, several defended the video and criticised others for sexualising it.
Sia acknowledged criticisms of the video and defended her decision to cast LaBeouf and Ziegler as two “warring Sia self states”.
