OVER THE WEEKEND, grime rapper Skepta paid tribute to an Irish fan who died last Thursday.

Skepta, the older brother of rapper JME and founder of the Boy Better Know record label and collective (which Drake is a part of) took to Twitter to share a video of Irish spoken word poet Paul Curran.

The video Skepta shared was a poem Paul wrote in 2016, where he spoke admiringly of the rapper.

As well as writing spoken word poetry, Paul was a songwriter and vocalist in north Dublin band Burnt Out.

Curran was a huge supporter of Shelbourne FC, and they acknowledged his death with a minute of silence before yesterday’s match against Limerick FC, where they wore black armbands in memory of Paul and another supporter named Brian Murphy who also passed away last week.
