A swarm of bees terrified pedestrians on a footpath in Dublin city centre today

Gardaí kept an eye on the situation until the beekeeper came in to save the day.

A SWARM OF bees were on the loose in Dublin city centre today.

They were spotted on the footpath on North Frederick Street this afternoon:

A garda can be seen standing close by and it’s understood a beekeeper later arrived on the street to take the bees away.

However, that wasn’t before some poor pedestrians got the fright of their life as they walked along the street:

Live Drive reported that while the beekeeper seemed extremely calm, the same could not be said for the bees:

The bee keeper has no protective gear, and is just scooping up the bees, calm as you like. The bees are not calm, I think it's time to panic

Thankfully the bees have now been removed, apart from these few stragglers still hanging around:
