'It was like a stag!': The Irish lad from Take Me Out revealed what really goes on in Fernando's

Glenn spilled the BTS deets.

IF YOU FIRST Saturday after Dry January meant you were nowhere near the TV last weekend, you may have missed good ol’ Glenn McGowan reppin’ it for Ireland.

Let us fill you in.

While appearing on Take Me Out, the hotel manager played an absolute blinder, and 30 out of the 35 women ultimately chose to keep their lights on in order to secure a date with him.

So, what was the game plan at this point, Glenn?

Well, that’s the thing. He didn’t have one.

Stunned that he didn’t get a full blackout, and was left with 30 lights to turn off, the Dubliner had to employ a little quick thinking.

Speaking to Dermot and Dave on Today FM this morning, Glenn reasoned that personality would always come up trumps, and he opted to go on a date with a lady named Lucy.

I had to spend 12 hours with her in a different country. I didn’t want to go with some arrogant chick who was going to wreck my head all day.”

Fair enough.

And what about the behind the scenes antics when it came to the infamous Isle of Fernando trip?

Well, the Dubliner didn’t hold back when revealing that he and the other lads were only dying to go on the lash once they arrived… except the production team were having none of it.

We just wanted to go out and have the craic. The lads came round to my room and we ended up sneaking out around the side of the hotel. I decided to say ‘let’s jump over this pillar’. I came down a pole, the other guy slides down a pole, and another guy just jumped. And you know what, he sprained his two ankles.
“We carried him up a beach. We didn’t even know where we were. The whole strip in Tenerife knew where we were and what we were doing. You know what it was like? It was like a Stag. It was one of the maddest night I’ve ever had. I’m still recovering.”

And after a night on the p*ss  (with fallen soldier in tow), a mere two hours sleep and a very irate production team to contend with, the lads went on their dates.

And how did Glenn fare with the lovely Lucy?

Well, unfortunately, he’s sworn to secrecy, so if you’re only dying to find out, you’ll need to tune in this Saturday evening.
