Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson made an appearance on Ellen this week, and used the opportunity to get an important message to Frances McDormand.
At this year’s Golden Globes, The Rock’s oldest daughter Simone acted as the very first Golden Globes ambassador. The actor told Ellen DeGeneres about the various responsibilities that Simone had while working on this role. One of her jobs was to stand on stage to guide award winners to the exit, once they were finished with their speeches.

This piece of information makes it even more significant that Frances McDormand took a second out before she had even given her speech, to turn around, walk to the back of the stage and shake Simone Johnson’s hand. The Rock couldn’t help but swoon.
It just blew me away. No one did that. She had the awareness to do this to my 16-year-old daughter [...] I was just SO blown away by that gesture. It was so beautiful of her and I’ve been meaning to call her and tell her, but now that I’m here Ellen… I gotta little crush on Frances.
Dwayne asked for the camera’s attention for a minute so he could make a plea on national TV for Frances McDormand’s phone number, before saying “Just between you and I, I know nobody else is watching… We’re gonna get married.”
Ryan Reynolds is back poking fun at reports that he has broken up with Blake Lively.

Ewan McGregor is back dating Fargo co-star Mary Elizabeth Winstead.
Back in February, it emerged that Ewan McGregor had been dumped by Mary Elizabeth Winstead, after ending his 22 year long marriage to be with her. Ewan and Mary’s relationship was kept a secret until they were caught kissing in a London café in October 2017.
McGregor’s wife Eve said that the ending of their marriage was “disappointing”, but that her main concern was that their four children were OK.
Shortly after this, Mary Elizabeth Winstead decided to end their new relationship. However, Ewan and Mary seem to have since patched things up, after they were photographed holding hands on the set of Gemini Man. (Metro)
