TMZ paid out a reported $250,000 for the video of Solange attacking Jay Z. The footage – which was recorded on a mobile phone from the CCTV monitors in the hotel’s back room, according to Us Weekly – was being shopped around showbiz sites for five days, Page Six reports. TMZ was the highest bidder.
The hotel worker who sold it has now been fired.
