What to watch on TV tonight: Friday

Here are the shows that’ll be on your Twitter timeline later

Every lunchtime, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

The Graham Norton Show (BBC1, 10.35pm)

Another star-studded couch tonight – Gorgeous George Clooney is on (please tell us more about Amal) along with The Rock, Hugh Laurie and Spaced’s Jessica Hynes.
Snoop Dogg will provide the tunes, of course. #grahamnorton

Bridget Jones’s Diary (RTÉ2, 9.35pm)

It’s on TV ALL THE TIME, but we would still never miss it. Renée Zellweger plays the quintessential singleton Bridget Jones, while Colin Firth is positively dreamy as her Mr Darcy. A perfect Friday night film.

Eurovision At 60 (BBC4, 9pm)

OK, so Ireland didn’t get through to the final. But despite this, the many, many Eurovision addicts in this country can tune into this documentary to warm up for the main event. Terry Wogan guides us through 60 years of the contest, and all the good, the bad, and the plain mad that came with it. #eurovision2015

Everybody’s talking about: #Rebellion

The Walworth Farce announcement in Dublin Brian Gleeson with his da Brendan PA WIRE PA WIRE

Love/Hate’s Charlie Murphy, Brian Gleeson and Sarah Greene have been cast in a new RTÉ drama about the events leading up to the 1916 Rising.

Rebellion was written by the man behind last year’s Charlie, which starred Aiden Gillen as the controversial former Taoiseach. The drama will tell “personal stories” intertwined with the political events of 1916. Exciting!
