What to watch on TV tonight: Thursday

Here’s the telly people will be talking about tomorrow.

DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

The Secret Life of the Zoo (Channel 4, 8pm)

New documentary series meeting the residents of Chester Zoo in England. Tonight, we meet a lioness who seems to have lost interest in her long-term partner, a warthog stressed out by his kids, and a zebra who’s about to give birth. Animals, they’re just like us.

The Young Pope (Sky Atlantic, 9pm)

Anyone else get a strange desire to spell it ‘Yung Pope’, like he’s a rapper? No? Just us? OK then. Jude Law stars in this beautifully-shot drama about the first American Pope, the ultra-conservative Pius XIII. In this episode, he spends a night away from the Vatican with a childhood friend. #theyoungpope

Magic Mike (E4, 9pm)

A film about male strippers with a surprisingly dark undertone, inspired by star Channing Tatum’s own experiences. Still, there are giggles aplenty to be had, and after this week, isn’t that what we all need? #magicmike
