What to watch on TV tonight: Tuesday

Here are the shows that’ll be on your Twitter timeline this evening.

Every lunchtime, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

Stargazing Live (BBC2, 9pm)

Prof Brian Cox and Dara Ó Briain chat to astronaut Tim Peake, live from the International Space Station, one month after he was launched into space. Scientist Carly Howett will also be giving us a close-up look at poor auld Pluto. #stargazinglive

Derren Brown: Pushed to the Edge (Channel 4, 9pm)

In the illusionist’s latest experiment, he will attempt to trick an unwitting member of the public into believing they have pushed someone to their death. Creepy. #derrenbrown

The Knick (Sky Atlantic, 9pm)

Steven Soderbergh’s period drama returns to Sky Atlantic tonight, with Clive Owen reprising his role as a turn-of-the-century surgeon. Not for the faint of heart. #theknick

Dermot O’Leary has spoken, and he says the show needs to take a break. We couldn’t agree more, Derm. The former presenter told the Radio Times that he thinks the show needs to get back to its roots:

If I was Simon [Cowell] I’d take it off air for a year… For me it was always room, arena, boot camp. Also I was really uncomfortable about the Six-Chair Challenge. I don’t think it’s a particularly nice bit of television. One of the reasons people like Strictly Come Dancing is because it’s a very warm show, and I think you’ve got to keep that in mind.
