What to watch on TV tonight: Tuesday

Here are the shows that’ll be on your Twitter timeline later.

EVERY WEEKDAY lunchtime, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

Drunk (RTÉ 2, 9.30pm)

Hosted by Eoghan McDermott, this science-based series will examine the effects of the demon drink on some plucky volunteers. It’ll begin tonight with a look at the beer goggles phenomenon – watch, then wow your friends in the pub with your knowledge. #drunk

Water: Why Pay For It? (TV3, 9pm)

A topical documentary, what better on a Tuesday night? With water charges looming ever closer, TV3 is bringing in the experts to explain just why the fees are being introduced. We’ll also be hearing from people with unsafe water supplies. Should make for water-cooler debate tomorrow – geddit?!

The Driver (BBC1, 9pm)

Colm Meaney stars as a gang boss in this Breaking Bad-esque drama, which also features David Morrissey as a taxi driver lured to the bad side when the going gets tough. It’s a three-parter, so set your Skybox to record. #thedriver

Everybody’s talking about… #Darndale

TV3′s documentary on Dublin’s notorious Darndale neigbourhood was one of Ireland’s most tweeted-about shows (besides Damo and Ivor) last night, and thoroughly divided opinion.

Locals told their own stories of the once-promising housing estate, though some viewers felt the documentary was inviting people to criticise them.

There are two more episodes on the way. Can Twitter even handle it?
