The Sea (RTÉ One, 9.35pm)

This adaptation of John Banville’s Booker Prize-winning novel stars Ciarán Hinds as a grieving widower seeking solace in a town he holidayed in as a child. Also starring Charlotte Rampling and Natascha McElhone.

All The Way (Sky Atlantic, 9pm)

Bryan Cranston won a Tony Award for his portrayal of American president Lyndon B Johnson in this play, adapted for TV by HBO. The film follows Johnson as he works to pass the Civil Rights Act, pressured by Martin Luther King Jr.

Secrets of Online Shopping: Supershoppers Special (Channel 4, 8pm) 

We’re all guilty of going for what was supposed to be a ‘quick browse’ on ASOS and coming out the other side with €200 worth of clothes. This documentary goes behind the scenes of retail’s online revolution, examining how shopping websites tempt us to buy more. #supershoppers
