Live UEFA Champions League: Barcelona vs Celtic (TV3, 7.30pm)

Tommy Martin presents coverage of the opening Group C fixture for both clubs, which comes from the Nou Camp. Can Celtic get anything from the home of the 2015 European Champions? Brendan Rodgers’ men will be up against it, anyway.

Later Live – with Jools Holland (BBC Two, 10pm) 

Kings of Leon, Jack White, Sting, Banks and M83 are all in the house for a star-studded opening to the new series.

Paralympics 2016 (RTE Two, 9.30pm/Channel 4, 9pm)

There are six Irish athletes competing in Rio today – with Ireland’s teen swimming sensation Nicole Turner back in the pool. She’ll be hoping to qualify for another final tonight at 9.30pm. Get the full details here.
