What to watch on TV tonight: Wednesday

Here’s the telly people will be talking about tomorrow.

DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

John Connors: The Travellers, RTÉ One, 9.35pm

The last of John Connors’ three-part documentary that looks at the shared history of travellers and settled people airs tonight. John uses modern DNA analysis to look for possible answers as to why the two cultures separated many years ago. Powerful storytelling. #TheTravellers

Making It Down Under, RTÉ One, 8.30pm

The final episode of the series that follows recent Irish arrivals in Australia as they work in challenging careers. Tonight, mother-of-seven Rosie offers an insight into what it is like to have such a large brood, and flying doctor Matthew battles to keep a man alive mid-flight. #MakingItDownUnder

The Great British Bake Off, BBC One, 8pm

It’s quarter-final time. Only five contestants remain in the tent – and tonight there’s an… interesting theme. All three tasks revolve around baking practices from the time of Henry VIII - with the showstopper taking the form of “a marzipan spectacle fit to grace a banquet tables at court.” Sounds like great craic. #GBBO
