Gravity (RTE 1, 9.35pm)

Two astronauts are left stranded in orbit above the Earth when the debris from an exploding satellite destroys their shuttle. Left drifting in space with no way to contact mission control, they begin a perilous journey to reach the safety of a space station before their oxygen supply runs out. Thriller, starring Sandra Bullock and George Clooney.

What Are You Eating? Snacktime (RTÉ 1, 8.30pm)

Philip Boucher-Hayes finds out about snacks, visiting a boiled sweet factory in Newry, while back in the kitchen, Hilary O’Hagan-Brennan shares a recipe for jellies. Also, a look at the “rising popularity of scones.”

Champions League Live: Monaco v Man City (RTÉ 2, 7.30pm)

Darragh Maloney is joined by Damien Duff, Dietmar Hamann and Eamon Dunphy to present coverage of the last-16 second-leg clash from Stade Louis II, where the hosts will try to overturn a three-goal deficit after losing 5-3 at Etihad Stadium.
