What to watch on TV tonight: Wednesday

This is the telly everyone will be talking about tomorrow.

DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

Bad Neighbours (RTÉ 2, 9pm)

Definitely one of Seth Rogen’s finer movies over the past five years. A couple living in suburbia and adjusting to new parenthood are determined to prove they can still be cool when a household of students moves in next door. However, when their raucous neighbours’ wild parties disrupt their lives, they decide to fight back, leading to a vicious cycle of one-upmanship. Rogen stars alongside Zac Efron and Rose Byrne.

Diana: The Day the World Cried (TV3, 9pm)

We’re coming right into Diana Season now, as it’s nearly 20 years since her tragic death. This doc recalls how the Princess’ funeral brought the world to a standstill, telling the story through the memories of people who played a part in it. Actress Kate Winslet narrates this account of September 6, 1997, with contributions from Malcolm Ross, the senior Buckingham Palace courtier who was responsible for the planning and execution of the funeral in just five days.

Taken 3 (RTÉ One, 9.35pm)

If you thought Taken 2 was a stretch… wait until you see Taken 3. Ex-CIA agent Bryan Mills’ efforts to finally live a quiet life are shattered by the death of his ex-wife. Just when things seemingly can’t get any worse, he is framed for her murder and must fight to clear his name. Liam Neeson stars in one of his most recognisable roles.

  • Captain America: The First Avenger (Film4, 9pm) Chris Evans, Hugo Weaving, Hayley Atwell and Tommy Lee Jones star in the first edition of the Captain America franchise.
  • Mountain: Life at the Extreme (BBC Two, 9.00pm) New series showing the extraordinary animals and people who make their homes in mountain ranges around the world.
