What to watch on TV tonight: Wednesday

Here are the shows that’ll be on your Twitter timeline this evening.

Every lunchtime, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

Operation Transformation (RTÉ One, 8.30pm)

A new series of the ever popular RTÉ series returns. It still has Ray D’arcy and Kathryn Thomas hosting, and tonight will see the first two leaders unveiled to try and get the contestants, and indeed the nation, to shed the pounds in January. ‘Tis the season, and all that. #OperationTransformation

Argo (RTÉ One, 9.35pm)

Yeah, sure, everyone has seen this Oscar winning flick a rake of times – but that doesn’t take away from the fact that it’s a grand watch on a cold January Wednesday evening all cuddled up. Ben Affleck heads to Iran to smuggle out some “Canadian” hostages and it all gets very dramatic altogether. The Midweek Movie has delivered some early gold in 2016. #Argo

Bodyshockers: Nips, Tucks and Tattoos (Channel 4, 10pm)

A new series of Bodyshockers is back. Tonight’s episode promises to feature “a man who is blowing his pension money to look like a parrot.” So, eh, about the same amount of crazy as normal then. #Bodyshockers

Everybody’s talking about… Jamie Dornan getting selfies with every fan in Ireland during filming of The Fall this week

The Fall, Gillian Anderson and Jamie Dornan are back in Belfast to film the third series of the hit BBC/RTÉ drama.

We already know that it’s going to be the last one ever, but Jamie seemed to be in decent spirits this week:

Every fan that pitched up on set got a photo with him

Look at him there posing away

Best thing to do is go to Belfast immediately

The worst you’ll get is an autograph

SoundDorns.
