What to watch on TV tonight: Friday

Here are the shows that will be on your Twitter timeline this evening.

DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

The Late Late Show (RTÉ One, 9.30pm)

Following on from the momentous decision on the Hillsborough tragedy during the week, tonight’s Late Late will spend a lot of time focused on the event. Former Liverpool star Kevin Keegan will be on the couch to discuss the tragedy and a previous Late Late appearance too. Liverpool-born Nathan Carter will also be on to play a song he has written for the victims and chat about how his career is getting on. #LateLate

The Graham Norton Show (BBC One, 10.35pm)

It’s a pretty stellar line up tonight. Paul Rudd will be in having the craic and telling us all about his return as Ant Man in the new Captain America film. Seth Rogen and Martin Freeman will appear, so you’d have to think we’re all covered on the craic front. #GrahamNorton

The Gadget Buzz (TV3, 8.30pm)

TV3′s Friday night tech show has something interesting in store tonight. Joe Donnelly and Fionnuala Conway make themselves at home in a “modern Dublin smart-home”. One of those gaffs that have voice recognition everywhere and a robot hoover to do all the work. One for everyone in the audience would be pretty sweet. #GadgetBuzz

Everyone’s talking about… First Dates Ireland last night

You had the couple that knew each other from years before, the lad from Nandos with no socks but you also had the true hero of the night: Corey from Galway.

And he had the most Galway method of describing his date:

Which had everyone chuckling:

Corey was the winner of last night:

It’s the next big trend:

We <3 you, Corey:

Or flick over for…

  • The Way Way Back (Film4, 9pm) Steve Carell has a heart of stone in it, but this film will leave you feeling all fuzzy inside.
  • Fast Five (TV3, 9pm) More fast and more furious than the previous four incarnations. But less fast and less furious than the next few.
  • The Secret (UTV Ireland, 9pm) New series set in the ’90s, where James Nesbitt is a Northern Irish dentist who embarks on a passionate affair.
  • Flowers (Channel 4, 10pm) The last in the series of the Olivia Colman comedy that’s been running all week.
