What to watch on TV tonight: Friday

This is the TV everyone will be talking about tomorrow.

DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

The Late Late Show (RTÉ One, 9.35pm)

It’s a bumper line-up on the Late Late tonight, with the two standout guests being Ibrahim Halawa and Conor McGregor. McGregor’s pre-recorded interview has already created controversy because of his response to using a homophobic term, while Halawa’s appearance in studio is likely to be the most talked about of the night as he explains what it was like to be detained in Cairo for four years without trial. Rounding out the guest list is celebrity chef Nigella Lawson, singer Imelda May and jockey Kieren Fallon.

The Graham Norton Show (BBC One, 10.35pm)

Graham welcomes Kenneth Branagh, who directs the new movie version of Murder on the Orient Express as well as starring as Hercule Poirot, and several of his co-stars – Michelle Pfeiffer, Johnny Depp, Judi Dench and Josh Gad. Plus, St Vincent performs her single Los Ageless.

Gogglebox: Celebrity Special (Channel 4, 9pm)

A one-off special features a great list of celeb tally-watchers: Jeremy Corbyn and actress Jessica Hynes sit down together, plus Liam Gallagher, with his mother Peggy and his son Gene, Freddie Flintoff and Jamie Redknapp; Ed Sheeran, Big Narstie and Example; and Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne. The whole show, like last night’s First Dates special, is being put on in aid of Channel 4′s Stand Up to Cancer initiative.

Everyone’s talking about… eight members of the House of Cards production team have made allegations against Kevin Spacey

Revealed by CNN, eight co-workers said that the actor made the set “toxic”:

Kevin Spacey made the set of Netflix’s “House of Cards” into a “toxic” work environment through a pattern of sexual harassment, eight people who currently work on the show or worked on it in the past tell CNN. One former employee told CNN that Spacey sexually assaulted him.

The story continues:

The former production assistant, whose account has never previously been disclosed, told CNN that Spacey sexually assaulted him during one of the show’s early seasons. All eight people, each of whom spoke to CNN on the condition of anonymity for fear of professional repercussions for speaking out, described Spacey’s behavior as “predatory,”

Following these new allegations, the actor’s publicist and talent agency have dropped him today:
