CELEBRITY MAGAZINE US Weekly has apologised for publishing false quotes from Kendall Jenner about her father’s alleged transition.

Yesterday the magazine published an “exclusive” article in which it quoted the model as saying that she would “always love her dad” regardless of his gender.

He’s a wonderful man. And just because he’s changing shoes now, so to speak, doesn’t make him less wonderful. I will always love my dad, whether he’s a man or a woman.

Last night, Jenner denied ever speaking to US Weekly and lambasted the publication for making up quotes.

Now the magazine has issued a full retraction and pulled the story from its website.

The magazine stated that the quotes came from a freelance reporter who attended the Comedy Central roast of Justin Bieber.

While the reporter maintains that the quotes are legit, the magazine has stated that they have “concerns” about their authenticity.

However, after attempting to reconfirm his account, editors of Us have concerns about the veracity of this interview and the circumstances under which it was obtained.

In addition to pulling the story, the magazine also apologised to Kendall and her family.

Over the past few months, there has been much speculation over whether Bruce Jenner is transitioning. His mother reportedly confirmed the news to gossip website Radar Online back in February, but Jenner himself has so neither denied nor confirmed the reports.

More recently, Jenner was in the news after he was involved in a car accident in which one woman died.
