Watch: Jedward enter the Celebrity Big Brother household

It’s only the beginning…

ARE THEY ONE contestant or two? We think it’s one but who knows. However, there’s no doubt that Jedward are now in the Celebrity Big Brother 2011 household after a highly usual hyperactive entrance last night.

The show, which is now shown on Channel 5 in the UK, got underway last night with Irish interest represented not only by the irrepressible Dublin twins but by two-time Big Brother winner Brian Dowling who is presenting the programme this year.

Kerry Katona, former wife of ex-Westlife star Brian McFadden, is also in the house along with a host of other ‘celebrities’ including The Only Way Is Essex’s Amy Childs, American Pie star Tara Reid, actress Pamela Bach, My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding’s Paddy Doherty, Parappazzo Darryn Lyons, Corriestar Lucien Laviscount, male model Bobby Sab and, bizarrely the wife of the House of Commons speaker John Bercow, Sally Bercow.

Wearing tiger outfits and panda shoes, yes you read that right, the Lucan lads known to their mother as John and Edward Grimes, were hopping and skipping all over the place to largely cheers but some boos:

Their message for the boo boys?

“For all the booers Quote from EDWARD-”YOU DON’T HATE US, YOU HATE YOU’RE NOT US,” read their @PLANETJEDWARD Twitter feed, which appears to have an unusual bug which prevents the lads from sending messages in anything OTHER THAN CAPLOCKS.

The Big Brother house, if you’re interested, has a plush living room, a fully stocked bar, a pool in the back garden and spacious bathroom and sauna.

The first task of this year’s show was handed to former Atomic Kitten singer Katona who has been told to act like a diva as part of a secret task.

But more importantly she has styled her hair to look like Jedward’s. Twin’s become triplets in this video on the Channel 5 website. We can’t quite believe it.

It should be quite a few weeks ahead, you can follow the progress of Jedward and the others here.
