What to watch on TV tonight: Friday

Here are the shows that’ll be on your Twitter timeline later.

EVERY LUNCHTIME, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

The Late Late Show (RTÉ, 9.35pm)

Yes, you heard correctly. Bono and The Edge are appearing on the show with Tubs tonight. There is a God. Will he mortify them with old photos and make them try on over-sized glasses like Graham Norton did? Probably not, but we can hope for a decent audience clap-along.

Gogglebox (Channel 4, 9pm)

You, watching people, watch people, on TV. It’s now a staple of Friday nights and nobody even knows why. All we can say is, it’s addictive and surprisingly hilarious to spy into someone’s living room. You also won’t find yourself in any murky legal ground.

The Graham Norton Show (BBC 1, 11.05pm)

Tonight’s line-up is a goody, featuring Benedict Cumberbatch, Timothy Spall, Miranda Hart and Maroon 5 will be performing. Notify the Cumberbitches in your life, today.

Everyone’s talking about Full Frontal

Episode two of Angela Scanlon’s look at Ireland’s attitude to beauty and body confidence aired last night and there was a lot of talk about arses.

The episode focused on plastic surgery and the cosmetic approach to beauty ideals. Scanlon was told she needed liposuction and had a ‘shelf arse’.

Oh dear.

It’s grand though, she has full arse security.

Or flick over for…

Later… With Jools Holland (BBC 2, 11.35pm) U2 pick up where they left off on Tuesday. So much U2 tonight, you lucky bunch.

Alan Carr (Channel 4, 10pm) Featuring Taylor Swift, James Nesbitt and Kevin Bridges.

Bad Boys (TV3, 9pm) Will Smith and Martin Lawrence team up as a pair of cops in Miami, and kick lots of ass in the process.

Out of Sight (UTV, 11.40pm) George Clooney and Jennifer Lopez play a bank robber and his hostage in this odd love story.

The Blame Game (BBC 1, 10.35pm) Some fine, fine comedy featuring some of our best comedy exports such as Neil Delamare and Colin Murphy.

Bono and The Edge confirmed to appear (and perform) on the Late Late tonight>
