What to watch on TV tonight: Thursday

Here are the shows that’ll be on your Twitter timeline this evening.

Every lunchtime, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

First Dates (Channel 4, 10pm)

It’s our favourite time of the week! Tonight we’ll meet female-to-male transsexual Charlie (who just so happens to be Irish) as he tries to woo over a girl named Charlotte, as well as 82-year-old Billy as he tries to charm Sandra. We already can’t cope. #FirstDates

Seconds To Live: Reality Bites (RTÉ One, 10pm)

This installment of Reality Bites follows the work of Cork’s Rapid Response team, a group of doctors who tend to serious accidents and bring the operating theatre to the roadside all on a volunteer basis. #SecondsToLive

’71 (Film Four, 9pm)

One of the best films of the year premieres on television tonight. Starring Jack O’Connell as a British soldier stationed in Belfast, ’71 is an immersive, even-handed look at the era of the Troubles in Northern Ireland. Well worth your time.

Everyone’s talking about… this excellent plaque

Remember Jeremy Clarkson’s fracas? The hotel in which it occurred has installed this rather excellent plaque commemorating the whole thing.
