What to watch on TV tonight: Saturday

Here are the shows that will be on your Twitter timeline this evening.

DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

Election 2016 (RTÉ One, all day)

Sitting on the couch in your pyjamas? Glued to the telly? Thinking of making some popcorn? You aren’t the only. RTÉ’s election coverage continues on into the wee hours. At least tomorrow is Sunday, eh? #ge16

Six Nations Rugby: England vs Ireland (RTÉ Two, 4.40pm)

The two teams face off in Twickenham this afternoon. As if Irish people didn’t have enough to be dealing with.

Invictus (RTÉ Two, 9.10pm)

Fancy a respite from election coverage? This highly acclaimed film stars Morgan Freeman as Nelson Mandela and Matt Damon as rugby player François Pienaar, and takes place during the 1995 Rugby World Cup just as South Africa was coming out apartheid.

Everyone’s talking about… Making A Murderer

maxresdefault

The filmmakers behind Making A Murderer have revealed that they are hoping to shoot new footage of Steven Avery.

Director Laura Ricciardi was speaking at a panel on Thursday night when she revealed she was investigating the possibility of shooting more footage.

From our perspective this story is obviously not over. It’s real life and (Avery and Dassey’s) cases are both still pending. We have no idea when the magistrate will make a decision in Brendan’s case.
We do know that two potential outcomes are that the judge could order Brendan’s release or he could order a new trial. So we are on the edge of seats about that. To the extent that there are significant developments, we would like to continue documenting this (case).

*keeps fingers crossed* (Digital Spy)
