What to watch on TV tonight: New Year's Eve

Here’s the telly that’ll help you ring in 2017.

DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

The Graham Norton Show (BBC One, 10.25pm)

To ring in 2017, Graham Norton will chat to Michael Fassbender, Marion Cotillard, James McEvoy, Frank Skinner and Skibbereen’s very own O’Donovan brothers. If this clip is anything to go by, Paul and Gary steal the show.

Jools’ Annual Hootenanny (BBC Two, 11.20pm)

It wouldn’t be New Year’s Eve without Jools Holland shrieking, “HOOTENANNY!” There’ll be performances from Chaka Khan, Christine and the Queens, Imelda May, UB40 and, of course, Jools’ old pal Seasick Steve. HOOTENANNY!

New Year’s Eve Live – Centenary Special (RTÉ One, 10.15pm)

If the Hootenanny isn’t your bag, RTÉ One will be ringing in the new year by reflecting on the year that was, bringing us performances from Walking On Cars and reaching out to Ireland’s diaspora.

BBC Four aired a night of programmes in tribute to the late singer and everyone was moved to tears.

All the feels.
