Here's what to watch on TV tonight: Wednesday

Here’s the telly that everyone will be talking about tomorrow.

DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

The Late Late Show with James Corden (Sky 1, 10pm)

The popular US talk show comes to London for three nights this week, where James Corden will host the show from Westminster’s Central Hall in London. The first three guests will be Nicole Kidman, Kit Harington and Ed Sheeran. Later in the week he’ll be speaking with David Beckham, Tom Cruise, Emily Blunt and Jennifer Hudson. Let’s not forget about that Carpool Karaoke with Ed Sheeran either. Exciting.

Missing You (RTÉ One, 8.30pm)

The first episode of the new RTÉ show that looks into long distance relationships between Irish emigrants and their families entirely via Skype. The show will share the funny, touching and occasionally tearful video calls that the Irish abroad are sending from across the world.

Ackley Bridge (Channel 4, 8pm)

A new six part series following the aftermath of two isolated comprehensive schools being merged into one. In the first episode, a teacher finds out she will now be forced to work with her ex-boyfriend. Meanwhile, two best friends are excited that they can now attend school together for the first time.

 Or flick over for…

The Snapper (RTÉ One, 9.35pm) Somehow, Roddy Doyle made a comedy about one young woman’s crisis pregnancy after she is taken advantage of by an elderly neighbour while drunk. Maybe its popularity is due to the fact that the issue would be treated pretty similarly today, 24 years after the films release.

Making It Down Under (RTÉ2, 7pm) Series following recent Irish arrivals to Australia. Flight nurse Alan O’Riordan calms a nervous passenger while an Irish couple go house hunting.

Ross Kemp: Extreme World (Sky2, 10pm) Ross Kemp goes to the most dangerous places on earth. Tonight he visits Ukraine to investigate the rise of the far right.

Love Island (3e, 9pm) The eleven young singles settle into villa life and kiss a lot during the first challenge. Oliva and Sam look set to become a couple.

Assassins: Ireland’s Contract Killers (3, 9pm) Documentary series looking at the young gunmen involved in Irish organised crime.
