Arrest made after 63-year-old woman dies in single car collision

A 53-year-old male was also injured in the incident.

A WOMAN HAS died in Wexford after the vehicle in which she was travelling struck a wall.

Gardaí say an arrest has been made following the incident.

The crash occurred just before 7pm yesterday evening at Harvey Place in New Ross.

The 63-year-old female was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the car, 53-year-old man, was taken to Wexford General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A technical examination of the scene was carried out last night.
