This woman said she had an orgasm during childbirth, and people were having none of it

WOMEN USE A lot of words to describe childbirth — torturous, excruciating, terrifying.

A word that doesn’t come up too often, though? Orgasmic.

Yesterday morning, mother-of-one Sangeeta Freeman appeared on ITV’s This Morning to discuss how childbirth was “better than an orgasm” and “totally pleasurable”.

It comes after a recent study published by the Positive Birth Movement and Channel Mum revealed that 6% of women apparently have orgasms during childbirth.

Here’s what Sangeeta had to say about the whole thing:

What I will say is that there is an increased blood supply to that area of the body and also the exquisite cocktail of labour hormones, being oxytocin and endorphins, that’s really quite a magnificent… that’s quite strong stuff.
When nature is allowed to do its thing then exquisite things can happen.

Needless to say, viewers were having none of it.
