Channel 4 asked some average Brits to guess where the Irish border is and the results were ridiculous

You will feel significantly more concerned about Brexit after you watch this.

IT CAN BE easy to forget how little the average individual from the UK knows about Ireland (both north and south of the border).

Last night Channel 4 shared a video to their Twitter that served as a frightening reminder.

It began with a young man who admitted that he didn’t know how to draw the border, which is fair enough. There’s nothing wrong with putting your hands up and saying that you don’t know something. He explains that British schools don’t teach that kind of stuff at all, and is honest about his generation’s ignorance towards politics in Ireland.

After trying his best, he presented us with this:

Another person had a relatively decent bash at it. It was nice knowing you Donegal.

But the real highlight was this woman’s attempt…

According to this map, Dublin and Galway are part of NI. Jervis Shopping Centre is now apparently part of Northern Ireland.

After the fun and games of drawing maps, the video takes a pretty infuriating turn when a woman offers her take on Brexit.

What exactly did we lose? Somehow, it becomes even more insulting. Who are the ‘southern Irish’? The people from Cork?

Here’s the real kicker, though:

“You can’t always have what you want in life.” Interesting, coming from a country that feel entitled to complete obedience from Ireland while they try to work out Brexit.

If the video won’t play, you can watch it here.
