Christy Moore wants to sell his ‘Eco House’ holiday home

Have a spare €450k? Take a look and see if you fancy splashing out on Christy Moore’s eco-friendly holiday home.

CHRISTY MOORE AND his wife Valerie are ready to move on and are selling their West Cork holiday home.

The Irish musician bought the eco-friendly house in Bantry in 2007 after seeing the three-bed on Duncan Stewart’s RTÉ television programme.

Famous owner aside, the house is pretty special in itself according to its listing on Daft.ie.

Set on a 1.3 acre site in Ahakista, ‘Eco House’ boasts rustic stone walls, a swimming pool and geothermal heating system. It was also built with the Japanese ideals of Feng Shui in mind as the original owner wanted the house to have as little impact on the surrounding environment as possible!

The ‘Smoke and Strong Whiskey’ singer has embraced the eco-friendly message of the house and is currently upgrading the fireplace to a woodchip burner.
