Dermot Morgan's sons have been in to see this brilliant new waxwork of their dad in Dublin

And some of the grandkids popped in too.

THE NATIONAL WAX Museum has just opened up in a brand new location on Dublin’s Westmoreland Street.

We’ve spoken before about how it’s a weird, beautiful national treasure – and for the new museum they’ve unveiled some new additions to the already diverse cast:

And one of them is Dermot Morgan as Father Ted

This week, Dermot’s son Don was there with his own sons to unveil it to the public

Look at them all there together <3

Last night, Dermot’s other sons Rob and Ben came down to see it for themselves, and said some lovely things about their dad and the public’s affection for him

They’ve captured that quintessential Father Ted expression perfectly – seen here with Rob Morgan

You just know it’s going to be one of the most photographed waxworks in the whole place for years and years to come

The pose though 😂

^nailed it already, in fairness.

We’re just surprised it’s taken this long to get such a national icon in place at the museum – but now we can look forward to explaining to tourists who aren’t aware of what Father Ted is the true glory of Dermot’s work.
