The Channel 4 comedy based in Northern Ireland during the Troubles launched in January of last year, and has gone from strength to strength in the 14 months since.

Christ, it was commissioned for a second series just hours after the debut episode of the show aired, after all.

And now, among the various other awards it has received along the way, it can officially count itself among BAFTA Award nominees.

The show’s creator, Lisa Mc Gee, celebrated the news on Twitter this morning.

As did Nicola Coughlan, who plays highly-strung Clare Devlin.

Oh, and Saoirse-Monica Jackson, and well, you get the picture.

Given the love the show has among fans, it’s no surprise reaction on Twitter has been pure and utter delight this morning.

Honestly, it’s like we all feel we have a special place in the show ourselves. No? Just me? OK grand, moving on.

Here’s what Twitter had to say following the big news.
