WHEN BRENDAN GLEESON named his baby boy Domhnall, did he realise he was signing him up for a lifetime of spelling his name to Americans? Surely he did not.
Domhnall Gleeson was at Sundance Film Festival last week to promote his new Netflix film, A Futile and Stupid Gesture, in which he plays one of the founders of humour magazine National Lampoon.
The Hollywood Reporter challenged the various celebrities who came their way to a game of ring toss, including Domhnall and co-stars Joel McHale and Emmy Rossum.
Domhnall got his name on the leader board, but nobody was able to spell it – Emmy was on the verge of putting an ‘r’ in somewhere when he just lost the plot:

It was all in jest, of course, but: What an iconic line. The stuff of dreams for people who have weirdly-spelled names. Saoirse Ronan should adopt this attitude, it’d save her so much bother.
The full video is here (Domhnall’s moment comes at the end), and it’s very enjoyable if you like to watch random celebrities hanging out together:Source: The Hollywood Reporter/YouTube
