And now it’s been announced that the spin-off of the Emmy Award-winning TV show will be featuring Graham Norton and Alan Carr as resident celebrity judges.

Alternating each week, Graham and Alan will work alongside RuPaul, Michelle Visage and a celebrity guest judge as the best acts that Britain has to offer fight it out to wow the panel.

And by the sounds of things, Alan is buzzing to take part.

Taking to Twitter yesterday, the stand-up comic and former chatshow host told fans and followers how thrilled he was.

I’ve got the most amazing announcement to make! I’ve been holding it so long. Guess what? I’m going to be joining Mama Ru and Michelle Visage on the panel as a guest judge on UK Drag Race.

“I’m so excited,” he gushed. “I can’t wait to see what all the queens are going to serve up, but I know one thing, it’s going to be sickening.”

*Cue death drop.*

Meanwhile, Graham, who reminded Twitter that he has been a guest judge once before in the US version, said he’s ‘so excited’ to be part of Drag Race UK.

I’ve been a fan of RuPaul’s Drag Race forever and a judge once, and now I am so excited to be part of Drag Race UK. Who knows; maybe this is what the UK is good at!

So, how did Twitter take the news?

Some were all for it…
