THE DEPARTMENT of Transport has urged anyone planning on making journeys of any sort this evening to check the latest travel advice before they set out. The Department’s website now includes a page with links to the most up-to-date travel information from public transport providers and local councils. The Road Safety Authority has also repeated its request that motorists leave extra time for their journeys, with sleet and snow continuing to fall nationwide.
