WHETHER YOU’VE DONE it already or not, chances are spring cleaning is on your mind.

Yes, this time of year lends itself perfectly to clearing out the old and embracing the new with many Marie Kondo-ing their way around their gaff.

But with all that decluttering comes dreams of a home refresh and the easiest way to do that is by swapping out old accessories and bringing in a new lineup.

If you’re looking to save on budget then paint and accessories are the way to do it.

We’ve gone through phases of all-white everything, rose gold accessories, and baby pink pops of colour but now I’m looking for a change.

This spring, I’m embracing a new option on the colour wheel and one of the biggest interior trends of the season – blue.

Yes, it’s not a colour that I’ve gravitated towards before, but it is one that encourages relaxation and calmness and who doesn’t want that in their house?

“We’ve seen a big move away from stronger tones to lighter, more sophisticated versions of colours this season; millennial pink is gone, blush is in. Dark blues and navies are out, pale blues are on trend,” say Caroline Foran and Jo Linehan of GAFF Interiors

“For us, it’s all about using more ‘grown up’ colours in the home now. Blue is such a versatile and calming neutral.

“But, beware of it’s cooling affect though – warm it up with cosy, soft furnishings or make sure you have  a few light sources to stop it from becoming a chilly space.”

Baby blue is set to be the colour of the season so no doubt we’ll be seeing it all over Instagram shortly.

So, if you’re in the market for a change and are liking this latest interiors trend, here are just ten ways to introduce it and help transform your home.
