Police investigate house fire that killed four children

Police in England are investigating what started a house fire in Derbyshire, in which four children died on Monday.

ONE MAN HAS been killed in a house fire near the centre of Dublin today. The fire broke out just after 1am in a house on the North Circular Road. Two other people were rescued from the house by five units of the Dublin Fire Brigade who attended the scene. RTE is reporting that the two rescued people, a 42-year-old woman and a 43-year-old man, are both being treated in the Mater Hospital. The woman is in a critical condition with severe burns, while the man is suffering from smoke inhalation. Technical experts are still trying to establish what caused the fire.

THE BODY OF A MAN IN HIS 30s was found in a burning house in Co Kerry this morning. The discovery was made at a house in Lisheen, Gneeveguilla, at around 10am by fire services. The scene has been sealed off for a technical examination, according to RTÉ, and gardaí are investigating the cause of the fire.

A WOMAN HAS died at a house fire in Newcastle Co Dublin. The 44-year-old woman was killed after a blaze broke out in the Brownstown area at around 2.15am. It has been reported that four children and their grandmother were also in the house at the time, but are unharmed.

ONE WOMAN HAS DIED following a house fire in Rathcoole, Co Dublin, RTÉ reports. The blaze is believed to have broken out at around 2.45 this morning, and emergency services remain at the scene.

A MAN HAS DIED IN a house fire in Kilmaine, Co Mayo, yesterday evening. Gardaí believe the blaze, which broke out around 8.30pm was started accidentally. The man was aged 79.

ONE PERSON has died as a result of a house fire in Dalkey, Co. Dublin last night. The fire brigade were called shortly before midnight and the fire was brought under control shortly afterwards. A body was later found at the house. Gardaí believe the fire was not suspicious.
