'Full body search': How Twitter saw the new security at Marlay Park

TONIGHT WILL BE the first big outdoor ‘electric music’ gig in Dublin since the Swedish House Mafia concert at which nine people were stabbed.

Promoters MCD are under pressure to make sure the David Guetta-headlined show goes smoothly after facing criticism from gardaí and politicians over security arrangements for the Phoenix Park event.

They tested the water with a joint rockout by Kasabian and Noel Gallagher last night, which suffered from a few technical issues. But as every garda commissioner knows, “electric music” of the type produced by the likes of Guetta is a different kettle of fish entirely.
