This woman's Newfoundland accent could be straight out of Kilkenny or Waterford

IT’S WELL DOCUMENTED that the Newfoundland and Irish accents are freakishly similar, despite our own fair isle and the Canadian province being separated by the Atlantic Ocean.

This though, might just be the single most astounding example we’ve ever seen. Eighty-four-year-old Babe Walsh lives in Ferryland, Newfoundland, where she’s been her entire life.

Doesn’t it sound like she could be from somewhere else though?
