A Dublin mini bus driver posted on a public Facebook page today for any elderly people who needed to get to hospital or whatnot and could not afford a cab and were stuck due to bus strike to call him and he left his number …. No doubt he’s been inundated with lovely comments and rightly so …. Thought it was a lovely act of kindness :-)

All of these acts of random kindness obviously took place in the US. Nothing worth reporting here in Ireland I assume
There was a fella in Phibsboro who gave me, my friend and his dad a pay parking ticket that was good for an hour cus he was heading off, something as simple as that lifts your day a bit!
Same thing happened to me an hour ago in Docklands
I forgot my wallet last year having driven to the dart station, the dart ticket person gave me a return ticket and the coffee shop next door to work gave me a wee lunch, granted I paid them the next day, but if they hadn’t been nice enough to trust I would, it could have been a REALLY bad day.
People can be more helpful and kind then we give them credit for
i love this
I’ve tried to give people paid parking tickets before and they’ve looked at like I had three heads! I couldn’t understand it, now I just leave them in the machine.
I once let a complete stranger share my room -a French girl with bad English who knocked on my door in college. She had no-where to stay so I made (many) phone calls and chauffeured her around to view places until she got a place to live. A good deed in Ireland.! Also picked up an old man who fell down on the road in the dark, returned 3 phones and 1 wallet to owners as well as 1 bag of with money/passports to a (scatty) elderly foreign couple. Not all this year though!
Bus driver let me on for nothing the other day when it was pissing rain and I was only going a few stops. very kind and made my day tbh.
went into a computer shop once looking to buy a replacement cable for my printer. guy in the shop just gave me a spare one he had lying out the back. I offered to pay but he said it was grand :) very kind.
