Supermac's has launched another cheeky ad campaign that looks like it's ripping into McDonald's

All the shade.

EVERYONE KNOWS THAT Supermac’s and McDonald’s have beef with each other.

For a couple of years now the pair have been in a battle over the trademarking of the name “Big Mac”, as well as other Mc-related words.

During the summer, things got wonderfully petty when Supermac’s started parking advertising trucks outside McDonald’s locations around Ireland.

And this week people have spotted a new ad campaign that ramps it up again – with a very pointed tagline

Yes, “Never Mind That Clown”.

It’s definitely not a reference to Stephen King’s It, anyway.

Anyone who has spotted it has appreciated the shade, even if the rival’s name doesn’t get a mention

Like, is this level of public ripping even allowed?

People also spotted a man dressed as a chicken being chased by a clown outside McDonald’s on Grafton Street.

Supermac’s director Pat McDonagh tells that the new campaign – which features a suitcase that says “imported” – is to highlight the company’s commitment to using fresh Irish chicken.

When the McDonald’s issue is raised, Pat says:

We’re not going to hold back now – let’s go to war.

Well now.

Some of the images started being shared around Twitter and beyond

What next in this battle?

Beef intensifies, again.
