Everyone is talking about… Room To Improve

In one of the most memorable episodes in the show’s history, Dermot Bannon came head to head with school teacher, Katie, who was keen to turn her Tipperary home into the kind of gaf that could rock a hot pink chaise longue.

And it was car crash television.

Let alone not being on the same page style-wise, this pair weren’t even speaking the same language.

And as Dermot and Katie butted heads, and Katie’s husband, Padraig, shuffled awkwardly in the corner, a nation of viewers united against a school teacher with a worrying grá for china teacups.

After months of back and forth, Katie and Dermot finally settled on a home the former was only delighted with, and Dermot frantically wiped the memory of the project from his mind.
