DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

First Dates Ireland (RTÉ Two, 9.35pm)

Hopefuls entering the restaurant include media student Dan who wants to try new things. Can fellow Dubliner Rachel tempt him with her passion for blue cheese? Other singletons up for romance are a three-times engaged interior designer, a salsa-dancing tax accountant, a bubbly children’s entertainer and a Limerick guy with a girl’s name. Intriguing.

Flirty Dancing (Channel 4, 10.00pm)

Sorry, so essentially this is a dating show in which a member of dance troupe Diversity pairs up two people and makes them dance in the hopes that they’ll ride each other? Ashley Banjo pairs up dance teacher Daniel from Bath, who is lost for words when it comes to dating and media student Tatijana from St Albans, who has never been in a relationship. They are followed by physiotherapy student Rayna from Portsmouth and trainee firefighter Jay from Manchester. Will one dance be enough to convince either of the couples to meet up for a proper date? Listen, just because it didn’t work out for you and that guy from Coppers …

Ár gClub (TG4, 8.00pm)

New series. A year in the life of four GAA clubs, beginning as the supporters of Cumann Caide na Gaeltachta travel to their All Ireland semi-final match against Moy Tír na nÓg from Tyrone. In Conamara the Liam McCarthy Cup arrives at CLG na Piarsaigh clubhouse as their under-eight team begin their first training session of the season, while preparations begin on and off the field at CLG Na Dúnaibh, as they will host the Comórtas Peile na Gaeltachta finals in June.

Everyone’s talking about: Brian McFadden

There’s speculation that the former Westlife star might pull out of Dancing On Ice after dislocating his shoulder and injuring his back early on in the series.

A spokesperson for the show has since responded, saying: “Brian has a bad back and is currently being monitored by our show physio.”

Guess we’ll just have to wait and see what happens on Sunday!

  • Back In Time For School (BBC Two, 8.00pm) Brit teachers go back to the ’70s to suss the curriculum.
  • Bridget and Eamon (RTÉ Two, 10.30pm) When Bridget goes into hospital, Eamon mistakes a random woman as his wife and she moves in, leaving the real Bridget making an epic journey home to reclaim her place by his side.
  • The Secret Life of the Zoo (Channel 4, 8.00pm) Featuring a giant otter couple who have never mated. Could a threesome be on the cards? (No, really.)
