Britain’s Greatest Hoaxer (Channel 4, 10pm)

As part of their exploration into ‘fake news,’ Channel 4 have commissioned a series of documentaries detailing how fake stories catch on like wildfire. Britain’s Greatest Hoaxer follows the exploits of serial prankster Simon Brodkin, who has pranked figures like Donald Trump, Kanye West and FIFA.

The Moorside (BBC One, 9pm)

A two-part film about Karen Matthews, a woman who faked her nine-year-old daughter’s disappearance in 2008 to claim a reward.

How To Get Fit Fast (Channel 4, 8pm)

Still struggling with your New Year’s Resolution to get off your arse and actually do some exercise? How To Get Fit Fast is a new series that will highlight interesting forms of exercise we should all be trying in 2017.
