ED BALLS HAS a tough enough job explaining why his party should be voted back into government in the UK in next year’s general election without a spider throwing a spanner in the works.
While appearing on the BBC News channel earlier today, the Labour MP and shadow chancellor was discussing the latest economic growth figures when a spider appeared on the camera.
As the Press Association reports: “It seemed to be on the camera lens and dangled above Mr Balls’ shoulder, quivering, with its legs moving.”
At one point the spider appears to be touching the MP’s face, but of course it’s not actually and shortly after it scuttles away.
The politician’s spider sense clearly wasn’t tingling as he appeared unperturbed and totally oblivious to the spider ruining his big moment.
