IT’S WELL KNOWN among cat owners that giving them milk can cause upset tummies and stomach cramps in certain situations.
Little Maggie is 12 years old and accidentally left her strawberry milk unattended around her cat Shadow.
Redditor ChiefAcorn shared the adorable email they received at the animal hospital where they work from her:
Her family was still asleep so emailing in a panic was her only option:
Hello. My cat, Shadow, was watching TV with me and drank a few sips of my strawberry milk. it had been on the table and he drank it when I wasn’t looking.
I am concerned how this may effect him because I do not know if he has ever drunken milk or strawberry milk. I am also concerned because I am the only one in my family who is awake and I am only 12 and a half so I don’t know what to do. Please help me.
The vet’s response was quick and reassuring:
Basically we told her cats gonna be OK. But milk isn’t the best of things for shadow.
