BOI wants customers to choose its... hold music

Tired of the same old hold music when you ring Bank of Ireland? Well the bank is now giving customers their say on what it should be.

HOLD MUSIC IS often the bane of customers’ lives – when you’re on hold to a bank the last thing you want to hear is a version of Flying Without Wings played on the pan pipes.

Now Bank of Ireland wants its customers to have their say on what hold music it should have, with a poll on Boards.ie offering them the chance to choose their favourite.

The poll has three options:

  • Rachmaninov – Rhapsody

(ttag/Youtube)

  • Mozart – Piano Concerto No 21

(poloshia/Youtube)

  • Bach – Air on the G String

(Mozafunkula/Youtube)

So far, Mozart is winning – you can have your say by visiting the thread here on Boards.ie. The option with the most votes at 3pm on Friday 6 July will be declared the winner.

Last month the bank announced that it had appointed a team that has been specially trained to interact with customers across social media sites Facebook, Twitter and Boards.ie.

The forum and Bank of Ireland Twitter account are staffed between 9am and 5pm.
