YOUR POOCH IS probably not panting with the heat today – but in the event that we do get a nice day again before the end of the summer, wouldn’t you like to kick back and share a nice cold brew with your four-legged buddy?

Thanks to a US dog treat company, now you can… The company 3 Busy Dogs has come up with a new product, Bowser Beer, a non-alcoholic, meat flavoured beverage especially designed for dogs.

The website for 3 busy Dogs said it is a family run business that “manufactures a fun, but healthy brand that speaks to the incredible emotional bond people have with their dogs”.

The idea came to them when people requested they make spicy pretzel treats for dogs and they decided to serve them at a pet expo. Of course you can’t serve salty pretzels without a drink to quench their doggy thirst so the family decided it was time to let man’s best friends have a beer of their very own.

After a family huddle, they brewed up a beefy, malty concoction in four different recipes and had a small four legged focus group test them.  One bowl was the clear winner and that became the basis of Bowser Beer.

The beer was a huge hit at the pet expo and the company have now added the option of a chicken flavour for pooches favouring a lighter ale.

They still make their peanut butter pretzels and have recently added a liver treat to accompany the beer for a great doggy happy hour.

All products are available to buy on the Bowser Beer website and you can even invest in custom labels so your pet can feel extra special while quenching its thirst.
